Funding on offer for exhibition programme
The British Council is looking for UK museums to collaborate with institutions in the Gulf to develop exhibitions to the region.

The UK Gulf Exhibition Programme is offering UK-based non-profit museums grants of up to £5,000 for an initial scoping exercise. The deadline is 11 February.

If successful, they can then apply for a grant of up to £100,000, deadline 21 June, to go towards the cost of the delivery of the exhibition and any associated programme.

Gemma Hollington, the director of exhibitions, visual arts, at the British Council says that the exhibitions must offer extensive engagement and learning opportunities for the target audience (14-30 year old Gulf nationals), both at the museums and through digital platforms and educational activities.

The Gulf comprises Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

There is more information on the UK Gulf Exhibition Programme, including an application form and guidelines, on the British Council website.
