We all make mistakes but the key to is focus on what you learn from these. Katherine McAlpine, Creator of Museum Oops, leads an interactive workshop where delegates will start to see how ours failures are a key part of any CPD plan

1430 - 1440 Energiser: How to create dynamic collections and not destroy the planet…
The session will get delegates to think about what we should be collecting now to represent the lives and concerns of our communities and what we should get rid of to make room for the new stuff. Led by Sharon Heal, Director of the Museum Association

1440 – 1510 Participatory session: Create your own opportunities (while still doing the day job)
Ed Lawless, Education Manager: Samsung Digital Learning Programme at the British Museum and founding member of the Emerging Museum Professionals networks, leads an interactive workshop on identifying opportunities to enhance your CV and profile

1510 – 1640 Coffee, speed mentoring and breakout workshops

1510 – 1640 Coffee will be served in the Oriel Restaurant, situated on the lower ground floor of the museum

1525 - 1630 Speed mentoring will take place in the Main Hall. Details of mentors will be available online and in your joining instructions nearer the time, and a sign-up sheet will be available during registration (first-come first-served). Each speed mentoring slot is nine-minutes.

1515 – 1545 Breakout workshops

1600 - 1630
Four breakout workshops will take place during the coffee break. These will be repeated to allow delegates an opportunity to attend more than one. Delegates also signed up to speed mentoring can leave or join a breakout workshop while it is in session.
